Welcome to Stillwater Angling Adventures - A Premier British Columbia Fishing Experience

Welcome To
Stillwater Angling Adventures
A wild Rainbow Trout leaping at the end of your fly line, Goddard Sedge Dry Fly #6 firmly embedded in her lower jaw. You bring her in for the release, all 27" of glistening, full spectrum of rainbow colour, exhausted but still proud; and off she goes, still wild and free. Bring a camera but keep it in a dry bag, things are going to get exciting.

At Stillwater Angling Adventures our passion is fishing for Rainbow Trout in the pristine waters of the Cariboo region surrounded by the unspoiled forests and mountain grandeur of this Eden of the Pacific Northwest. If your passion is similar, put yourself in our place for a fully guided flyfishing experience.

The Cariboo (not the Caribou) is a recreation area located in the heart of British Columbia which offers hiking, biking, skating, dog sled races, cross country & downhill skiing, camping, RV'ing, picnicking, horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating and water skiing.

British Columbia has a land mass larger than either California or Texas and is located North of Washington, Idaho and Montana. The Cariboo, located in South Central British Columbia in management area named Cariboo Chilcotin Coast is considered by most knowledgeable anglers as one of the premier fishing destinations in the world with literally thousands of lakes, rivers, streams, and ponds.

Prime fishing is from May to October but we suggest you get a deposit in early to hold your preferred dates as spaces are limited to maintain the integrity of quality fishing experiences and individual attention. Accommodation is available in a recently renovated cabin or the main residence on our 130 acre wilderness property. The evening meal is prepared by Master Chef Bruno Dehier. Bruno was trained at a culinary school in France (custom prepared meals available upon request; fresh catch of the day, vegitarian dishes, those with allergies, etc.); his three and four course meals will be another highlight of your five star vacation. You can leave your catfish, crappie & bass fishing equipment at home, we can't help you there. Freshwater species in this area include Cutthroat Trout, Cuttbows, Brook Trout, Bull Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Steelhead, Dolly Varden Char, Lake Trout, and then of course our favourite; Rainbow Trout. Our subspecies of the Rainbow include Kamloops, Pennask, Tchesinkut, Quesnel Lake, Blackwater and Gerrard. Fisherman in the Cariboo troll, fly fish, spin cast, bait fish, and set lines. Some of our clients use spinning gear but most use fly fishing equipment either to troll or cast. Many enjoy the intimacy of a float tube but when one relaxes in the unpretentious Cariboo he or she chooses the means. No one will judge, usually no one will even notice; this is Canadian wilderness at its best, don't be surprised if you have the whole lake to yourself.

Searching for wild Rainbow Trout in secluded lakes is a passion only satisfied in a limited number of places in today's world. The complete experience includes wildlife sightings which may include but not be limited to Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Loons, Moose, Mule or Whitetail Deer, Merganzers, Grebes, Bears, Lynx and Cougars.

We look forward to meeting you and spending quality time with you on the water and in the incomparable beauty of the Cariboo.
